DO YOU KNOW WHERE GHANA’S OIL MONEY IS?

Bob Marley said in 1979, that in the abundance of water, the fool is still thirsty.

The petroleum agreement that was signed by the leaders of Ghana, on behalf of the people of Ghana, after Ghana discovered oil, gave the right to the British company; Tullow oil to own approximately 35% of the total oil reserve. An American company called Kosmos Energy owns 25%, another American company called Anadarko Petroleum owns 25%, another American company called Sabre Oil owns 2% and two individual American-Ghanaian called Kwame Barwauah Edusei and George Owusu own 2%. The remaining 10% is owned by GNPC on behalf of the people of Ghana.

The recoverable reserve in Ghana is 660 million barrels of oil and 0.8 trillion cubic feet of gas. Assuming the average cost of oil per barrel is $85, and gas per cubic foot is $8, which is less, Ghana's reserve can generate a $56 Trillion minimum for oil and a $6.4 Trillion minimum for gas, a total of $62.4 Trillion. Mind you, $ 21.84 Trillion will go to Britain's economy through Tullow,  $32.448 Trillion will go to the American economy through Kosmos, Anadarko & Sabre. Only $ 6.4 Trillion will go to GNPC on behalf of the people of Ghana,  and $1.248 Trillion will go to those two individual Ghanaians with American citizenship whose account is in a tax haven in the Cayman Islands, not Ghana. Patriots indeed?

Now, the $6.4 Trillion revenue that is expected to be received by GNPC on behalf of the people of Ghana after the operations, the greedy politicians have created a lot of money swallowing vortex around that funds which will sink the money deep into their own pockets, than into the life of the ordinary Ghanaian. That's not to make matters worse, GNPC, the receiving operation of the funds has also decided to sponsor beauty pageants, and unrelated events that are not core to its mandates, instead, of pumping the money into developing skilled labor, and buying operational equipment to prepare for future operations, so that we wouldn't have to depend on foreign companies who milk us unsympathetically.

As if all that is not enough, Ghana consumes 88'000 barrels of oil per day, but produces an average of 100'000 of oil per day which is more than domestic need, guess what? Ghana export over 55'000 barrels per day, ( 56 %) because our hands are forced to do so, we claim we need the money more than the oil, after getting the money, then we use it to buy more oil in the international market for our domestic oil deficit, which is more expensive, to the consumer, so oil prices are always skyrocketing in a country that produces more oil per day than it consumes. And the country is still importing petroleum products with the claim that they do not have money for refinery after sponsoring beauty pageants, and the First Lady's projects with the oil funds. They do not even know refinery can even create thousands of jobs if done well.

The government has already squandered over $1 Billion of the oil revenue. All the major players in the industry like Tullow have their senior management as white folks, the local people that are employed in the sector do not have the requisite knowledge background, they are trained on the job, they may be good at what they are trained specifically to do, but they may not have the in-depth knowledge as someone who has schooled for it. They'll rise through the rank and eventually take over when the white folks leave when there's nothing left, but because of the lack of deep knowledge they'll make experienced but short-sighted decisions that are not cutting edge.

And that was the same problem Ghana faced in the mining sector, energy sector, cocoa sector, and any other sector. We haven't learned yet, so instead of expanding, we keep shrinking from bad to worse. So the oil will finish yet Ghana wouldn't have anything to show for it. If another country gets just 1% of what we have, they'll be a wonder. Some countries have made it with just oil, why can't we do the same?

A bunch of short-sighted egomaniacs, English-speaking pseudo-intellectuals, Tribal bigots, demagogues, unintelligent populists, and greedy elites everywhere.

America’s Got Talent Contestant Jane Marczewski Dead .

Jane Marczewski, a talented singer who rose to fame appearing as a contestant on America's Got Talent, has died at the age of 31 after a battle with cancer.

Family and friends are mourning the loss of America's Got Talent star Jane Marczewski.

The singer, who rose to fame while appearing on the hit show under the moniker "Nightbirde," died on Saturday, Feb. 19 after a four-year battle with cancer, her family said Monday, Feb. 21. She was 31 years old.

"We, her family, are devastated by her passing and unimaginable loss," the singer's family said in a statement to NBC's Today. "Those who knew her enjoyed her larger-than-life personality and sense of humor. She had a witty joke for every occasion—even if the joke was on her. Her lasting legacy will be the gift of hope she gave to so many through her music and the strength she found in Jesus. We thank everyone for their messages of love and support."

TMZ was the first to report about Marczewski's death, which comes months after she blew judges away with her debut on the NBC show in June 2021. Her performance prompted both a golden buzzer and emotional reaction from AGT judge Simon Cowell.

Before launching into her original song, the then-30-year-old shared that her cancer had spread to her "lungs, spine and liver." Last August, Marczewski opened up about having to step down from the competition due to her health "taking a turn for the worse."

"Sharing my heart with the world on AGT has been an honor and a dream come true," she wrote alongside a photo of herself on Instagram. "My point of view this summer has been astounding. What a miracle that the pain I've walked through can be reworked into beauty that makes people all over the world open their eyes wider."

She continued, "Since my audition, my health has taken a turn for the worse and the fight with cancer is demanding all of my energy and attention. I am so sad to announce that I won't be able to continue forward on this season of AGT. Life doesn't always give breaks to those that deserve it—but we knew that already."

In her last Instagram post in January, Marczewski shared a selfie, writing, "Honestly, things have been pretty brutal. But this is a photo of myself from last week where I felt pretty, and alive, and awake, and human, and real. I needed that. We're all a little lost and it's alright."

Following news of her death, America's Got Talent host Terry Crews shared a photo to Instagram in her memory, writing, "We are saddened to learn about @_nightbirde's passing. Our condolences goes to her closest family & friends in such of this difficult time. We love you, Nightbirde."

AGT judge Howie Mandel also shared a few touching words on Twitter dedicated to the singer, calling Marczewski a "bright inspirational light in all our lives."

"We must continue to live and learn from her words and lyrics," he wrote. "As much as I feel horribly about her passing, I feel lucky to have met, heard and known her."

SULLEY MUNTARI WILL BE MISSING IN ACTION

SULLEY MUNTARI WILL BE MISSING IN ACTION AGAINST KOTOKO.
HMMM

Wondering how the feeling will be if SULLEY misses today's clash . Well to my opinion I think he can miss today's game due to his stamina, and fit .
Kotoko has a stronger side and Hearts of Oak will be needing the young and energetic players for the game .
Comparing his games against King Faisal and Real Tamale United (RTU) his stamina wasn't that too strong for my liking . He is equally good but I think not for this game .

Kindly let me know your opinion on the comment section .

SHATTA'S BEEF TURNS TO BURGER

SHATTA'S BEEF TURNS TO BURGER

Shatta Wale has called for peace and begged for forgiveness from Ghanaian politician Sam George after insulting him on social media.

Ghanaians were anticipating a heavy bout but the fearless dancehall king chickened out of the social media fight with Sam George hours after throwing his shots

"That Sam George if you don't stop those foolish comments about me erh … You go sick for room for years unless I touch you . I never see foolish man like you too before .
Prove to me which leave I smoke, you are very foolish a man.

Ah is sam George even a government person or he is a radio presenter ..
Masa this year if you be minister and u come to me anyhow, I will also come to you anyhow !! What da fuck !!!!
If Ibe so u guys want us to run the country, we go go like that ..
tackle tackle ,,,foolish man

The plot people like sam George has for me we know all ..
Bigman bigman but you talk like a fool .. Do your worse foolish man !!"

In a quick redraw, Shatta Wale took to the same platform he called war on to reveal that he has spoken to Sam George and had decided to bury the hatchet.

He claimed understanding is the key and everything they did was for love.

As it stands, Sam George remains undefeated in social media fights and no Ghanaian celebrity has been able to beat him to his game.

HARRY KANE DOES THE UNTHINKABLE

                FULL TIME

Manchester City vs Tottenham Hotspur. Premier League.
5:30pm, Saturday 19th February 2022.

Etihad StadiumAttendance: Attendance53,201.

     MAN CITY  (2)
I Gündogan (33'33rd minute)
R Mahrez (90+2' 92nd minute pen)

       TOTTENHAM  (3)
D Kulusevski (4'4th minute)
H Kane (59 59th minute, 90+5 95th minute)

HARRY KANE DOES THE UNTHINKABLE TO IGNITE PREMIER LEAGUE TITTLE RACE

Match report and as Harry Kane produces a masterclass against Manchester City, providing the winning goal to frustrate the side who tracked him throughout the summer and blow the Premier League title race wide open.

*Harry Kane came back to haunt his long-term bidders Manchester City as his 95th-minute strike secured an unbelievable 3-2 victory in a quivering Saturday Night Football clash at the Etihad Stadium.

This was one of the great games of the season, and so often these two teams deliver when they come together, but this ignited Spurs' Champions League hopes and Liverpool's Premier League title aspirations.

Kane was City's chief tormentor from start to finish, setting up Dejan Kulusevski's opener with his brilliant incision of City's high defensive line (4). Ilkay Gundogan would deservedly level matters (33), but having withstood heavy pressure upon the restart, it was Kane who delivered again.

The England captain met Son's cross to finish expertly across his body (59), and he might have had a second when he beat Ederson inside his near post but Kulusevski was ruled offside upon VAR review in the build-up (74).

City had valid claims for a penalty when Bernardo Silva's low cross slammed into the arm of the diving Cristian Romero and after VAR Darren England instructed referee Anthony Taylor to consult his pitchside monitor, City were handed a dramatic remission.

Riyad Mahrez dispatched his penalty with assuredness high into the net (90+2) but Kane would have the final say to spark wild scenes in the away end as the striker outplayed Kyle Walker to head Kulusevski's cross into the net (90+5).

It's a massive day for the top-four race but also the title race," said Jamie Carragher on commentary as Kane dramatically changed the picture at the top of the table. The result means Tottenham moved up to seventh in the table, four points behind Manchester United in fourth with two games in hand.

City remain six points clear of Liverpool at the summit, but having played one more game.
